Tips To Help Minimize Parental Back Pain | Akridge & Akridge Chiropractic
Caring for an infant and toddler can put a lot of stress on your body.
Check out these tips below to help you minimize parental back pain:
- Lift your baby or toddler using proper posture. Bend at the knees – not the waist.
- Consider carrying your baby inside an ergonomic baby carrier or sling to help distribute the weight evenly across your body.
- Use a backpack instead of an over-the-shoulder diaper bag
- Use proper posture while feeding your baby. Keep your back straight while sitting and use a pillow to support your baby. Try a lumbar roll behind your low back if sitting for prolonged periods of time.
